This makes me happy to hear! A story of this caliber, they CANNOT mess this up.
The Uncharted movie was
and Neil/Sony/ND were involved
. I hate the casting in this too.
theres no such thing as the video game curse. Its because producers does not respect the game story line
Gaming has grown so much
Satan
Can't wait
The show hasn’t come out yet. How do they know they’ve avoided it?
Neil cuckman
Yeah Neil sounds really out of touch with reality…. How does action make for a boring show??? Makes 0 sense
Honestly it sounds like Neil will be the reason this tv show fails sadly
Another thing they can avoid is repeating the non canon part 2 disaster.
A little premature, no? Reviews haven't been released and the public hasn't seen it…I'm cautiously optimistic, but still.
As long as they understand the story, catch that emotion and impact like they did in the game then the show will be a success. The trailer looks interesting so far. Resident evil failed us on their end.
Drunkmann will let y’all down again. 100%
That show is going to flop massively and I'm glad about it
Understand it,, but make it pg 13 and take out the spores
real love letter to fans
Now lets see if the show is better than last of us part 2
But just why why decided to let put the spores
The trick is… Wait for it …. READ AND ADAPT
Sonic the hedgehog avoid the video game curse

He originally said “It's an open and shut case, this is the greatest story that has ever been told in video games”.
The word usage of "Its an open and shut case" lends to the idea that there is no option of opinion.
Comes across as damage control.
Seems like they're just trying to get ahead of the hate. Nice try, fellas. You don't get to decide you avoided ruining it. WE do.
love the bafomet on that all saints shirt
If there was any curse Arcane already broke it
Best story is witcher 3 ,sorry but true
It's not hard too avoid the video game curse when made too TV or film ,you just take a more grounded approach and stop treating it like gamers are all kids
Mortal Kombat Conquest looks better.
Neil is only 1/2 of the duo responsible for creating this IP, not to mention everyone else at ND. He may have been credited as lead writer, but he did not have complete freedom – Straley and others made him change a lot of ideas he had. Many ideas pushed aside for the first game were then, depsite being deemed lackluster for the first game, reused by Neil for the 2nd game, which he had more creative control over. Look at the 2nd game compared to the first and wherever you stand on the difference between those two games will tell you whether or not Neil’s involvement in the show is enough to make it worthwhile.
“We didn’t feel like playing the games would lead us anywhere. This is a show for modern audiences and we feel the message wouldn’t come across if we did play them.” – Last Of Us Show-runners, probably.
Castlevania and Edgerunners already proved great video game adaptations can be done. No such thing as a "video game curse", it's just called a bad adaptation. Coming in with a lack of respect for the material you're already doomed to fail.
Mark my words, this is gonna be a hit on the scale of the game. The last of us is gonna be big property soon
Alot of the flops are through weird changes in the source material but this does seem like its going to follow The Last Of Us properly
Sorry HBO, but you aren’t magician geniuses finally being our saviours and breaking the video game curse. Detective Pikachu did all the way back in 2019, and Netflix/Sonic have been carrying the torch ever since.
If anything, Naughty Dog have made the worst adaptation in recent memory with the Uncharted movie.
Just make sure the actors DON'T play the game, you know, to get a feel for the source material.
The video game curse is hiring writter, actors, directors and producers that dont respect source material.
Can't tell for sure until the show comes out
Most video game adaptions fail because they don't stick to the source material , look at dragon ball evolution.
Talk about putting the horse before the cart
