13. Seems to me sales have really little to do with functionality. As a user of relative cheap phones ($200), used till they gets faulty, I sit in amusement at dinner parties listening to people brag what version of their iphone they have, and how much it cost.
    No one every mentions its got some new wizz bang function that justifies the upgrade or price. That it takes a good picture is the full extent of 'functionality'.

28. I can talk to my phone and have it talk back, without the data going to an external server controlled by companies operating in a different legal jurisdiction. Yep all that "in house" and the phone just becomes a secure interface to something much more powerful that I also control completely so some company can't decide to pull functionality out from under my feet without warning as they have been known to do. You can't buy that off the shelf, but all it cost me was my time to set it up. Open source software is the way to go, the community appreciates any level or form of support people can offer, and they always give back to you far more than you give them. Basically the entire internet is running on FOSS and it is the core part of the Android OS too. Is that extra bit of techno-glitter on your Apple phone really worth having to deal with a company that operates like they do?

    A phone is a phone is a phone, not the B S of how good it takes photos ! These days being a phone seems to an ‘oh by the way’ this hand held device can be used as a communication tool. Paying up to $1900 is stupidity to say the least !!!

45. I recently upgraded from the iPhone 6S to 13 Pro Max… couldn't tell the difference other than the screen was slightly larger…
