1). You KNOW you got a problem when your VIDEO GAME league is more popular and cared about than your REAL LIFE league where men who play REAL LIFE BASKETBALL on REAL LIFE COURTS!
And 2). Just imagine if you would've BEEN had this,man.
Like,imagine if they introduced the NBA 2K league 6 MONTHS after NBA 2K11 came out back in the 2010-2011 season.
Can you imagine how HYPED people would be?!
I mean,not ONLY would 2K have given us the BEST NBA/basketball game KNOW TO MAN(at that time at least),but then they go and give us our own league literally 6 months AFTER said came had came out?!
Feels like a HUGE missed opportunity on the NBA and 2K's part.
And I mean,you could say that about almost EVERY 2K game that came out after 11 if they made the league a thing, ESPECIALLY if they did it after releasing 2K14 which was the first NBA 2K game to be released for the next gen consoles (XBONE and PS4,in case you were somehow not aware),AND 2K16 when they just so happened to be workin' with film director Spike Lee(who not only is a die hard superfan of the Knicks and could usually be found at almost ALL of their playoff games and such,but he was most notably known as back in the mid 80s as the fictional character Mars Blackman,who would star alongside then rookie player Michael Jordan aka THE 🐐 in his Nike Air Jordan shoe commercials from Air Jordan I to Air Jordan 4s) who would be the executive producer of that game's career mode(which flopped harder than a bag of actual BRICKS),maybe even 17(keyword is 'MAYBE',mind you).
I don't know,but had they don't it back THEN in my opinion,it would've gained MUCH more attention in general,and even MORE profit.
But NOW,it literally feels like it's JUST another way to make a quick and easy BOATLOAD of money,which is sad really.
Here's hoping the league is actually somewhat GOOD,I guess? Either way,I'm sure it'll be a TRILLION times better than the in the flesh trash we've gotten this whole season in the REAL NBA,so whatevs.
