  1. I played SF last night. Its interesting. I haven't had any performance issues yet, but I'm only in the beginning of the game.

The game definitely needs some QoL adjustments which I'm sure modders will have to fix. And hairstyles, my word, why don't devs give us better hair options in games? All they have to do is look at Nexus mods to see what most players like.

That said, I do not see this game beating BG3 for GoTY. Maybe its just preference for me, but so far SF hasnt griped me like BG3 did.

  2. I watched like 4 hours of the game on YouTube and man…underwhelmed. I was really hoping it would blow me away to the point I went out and bought an Xbox (haven’t had one since the 360 – straight PS since then). It sucks to see Xbox doing so shitty because the gaming community needs them to be good. The last thing we need is PlayStation and Nintendo being the only consoles. Mostly because they really go after different demographics. Without any push from Xbox I’m scared Sony will go stale – kinda like WWE once they put WCW out of business. But Xbox better start making more exclusive games that people want or it’s gonna happen because Sony has tons of great exclusives…Xbox has like 2 🤦🏼‍♂️

  3. Yep. If Starfield had released this thing on PlayStation then I would definitely have bought it at full price. As it stands, though, I'll be buying BG3 at full price, and shelling out for 1 or 2 months of Xcloud. I think many others will do the same, and I don't see that being all together too profitable for MS. Game Pass is a disaster and I'm glad Sony, for all their many faults, hasn't followed the same model. It's a completely unsustainable model.

  4. Your a punk sony troll. I'm sure your punk ass will give Spiderman 2 a 10. Same old Spiderman game with small world map. Who ever listens to your stupid review is dumb.

  5. It still pains me that New Vegas, a game so rushed it puts modern ea to shame still has 1000x more soul and love put into it's world than Starfield's endless rock deserts and recycled mining outposts

  6. Well I saw someone play Starfield last night, arch war hammer or formerly war hammer, On his channel the arch cast and what I saw was so unimpressive I decided to bite the bullet and get star citizen an instead

  7. While I understand your logic, I think it's short-sighted on the long-term plans for Microsoft. They aren't a video game company. Xbox was never going to give them a large market share. However, smaller companies with larger player bases, such as Sony, have been negative competition for Microsoft's growth. Microsoft has a strong PC market, with Xbox players benefitting from that consumer base as well. Sony is reliant on its PlayStation to keep gaming relevancy, with far less capital than Microsoft to compete. This is why Microsoft has bought multiple major developers and was so quick to announce that many upcoming titles would be exclusives. They're not looking to win short-term. They're trying to outlast competition long-term. Meanwhile, future game titles can be used to test experimental UI, Ai, and other tech. It's terrible for consumers long-term, but Microsoft and its Xbox eco-system are in a strong position for future development. This is not a defense or support for Microsoft. This is a statement that gamers are absolutely undervaluing what's at stake. We're watching Microsft lose pennies, while they're shoveling millions of dollars behind our back.

  8. The critics who don't actually game are giving it shit reviews just so they do not piss the Pony Bois off anymore than they already are. So, these numbers that they are giving the game actually mean nothing to me or the gamers. Because who listens to the guys who give out perfect scores to COD games?

  9. like diablo 4, people got hype the first month and after that cry cause the game is not bad but not good too… I guess we have to wait a year to see this game better.

  10. Think I'll wait a couple of years till Starfield is modded enough to customize to my liking, and perhaps has a VR mod as well. I have a backlog that will probably last me 5+ years so waiting is no problem. 🙂

  11. Just downloaded Starfield just now for SeriesX! Will be trying it out in 4 or 5 hours after the wife and kids are asleep for the night!
I have reservation’s but am also excited!

  12. I wouldnt rent a game for $17 per month if it takes a long time to finish. Just buy it. I dont see long term value in paying for a subscription just so i can download a bunch of indy style games. I bought the mass effect optimised trilogy for $20 on disc. You would have to be stupid to play all three games on a subscription service. Same goes for playing entire seasons of sports games or even fighting games that have countless hours of replay value. Game pass has its place but should be used more as a scouring tool to try the shorter games out. Set aside a month or two where you download a bunch of stuff and finish it then unsubscribe and wait for more content to build back up just like what some peope do with streaming services.

  13. I'm enjoying the game so far. My few complaints are, the "Hold" controls. Where 2 or 3 functions are tied to a single button, depending on how long you hold the button. I vehemently hate that. And that it's not clear sometimes, what button you need to press. So far, I wish that there was a little more combat. Kinda' how The Outer Worlds, was more a walking book, than actual game. But for the most part, Starfield is pretty fun. It's more or less a classic Bethesda game. And I know that the internet will pick a side, and then everyone will follow along. It happens with nearly every game. If the internet says, "Hate it", people hate it. If the internet says, "Love it", everyone will love it. It's a weird thing to watch. Also, I am glad that subscription's are losing numbers. Everything is a subscription. It's annoying. It's like a rent, but to everything.

Edit: Also the political chatter in the game, by the NPC's. "All art is political" gets repeated by the NPC's. Which as an artist, is really annoying. That is an absolute nonsense statement. If I think a flower is pretty, so I draw it, that drawing is not political.

  14. subscription services might be more profitable than you'd think. Sure they take a hit on game sales but their steam service could possibly make them more in there long run. Ppl in general dont get a stream service and cancel as soon aa they finish. Sure those ppl exist but they aren't the majority. If they bring in 3xmore ppl with subs over game sales, there's a good chance they're gonna keep that sub for longer than a month. hell some may never cancel others will go a year or so. ( need those numbers). 3 ppl keep the game pass for 1yr they each paid for 2 copies of starfield. that's 6 copies vs 3. Plus theres other older games there that would normally be bargain bin deals used to keep subscribers around longer.

Theres alot of money to be had with subscriptions, otherwise it wouldn't be pushed so hard

  15. I'm tired of hearing about Baldur's Gate 3. That game is boring and clunky as hell, and this is coming from someone who's favorite game is still Kotor.

Been having infinitely more fun playing Starfield for the few hours I've had it today.

  16. Ign is the Andrew Tate or game reviewing.. for every normal decent reviews there 100-200 bad reviews thrown in… They clearly base their reviews off what games will keep coming their way for free.
