  1. I must just comment to say just how marvellously this works!! I am a Wildfe filmmaker in Scotland and I have 2 DJI Mavic Minis. I film my local area – a Nature reserve with Ospreys and Peregrine Falcons, I will now be able to show the Drone following these birds – from a safe distance (for everyone) from our visitor centre, Google's Chromecast fob didn't work and the kit invoved was an old iPhone 6, a Toshiba 43 inch screen and with minimal lag. Amazing. Thanks again Smeghead!!

  2. This is exactly what I want to do (though my phone is Android, not iPhone), but I have been struggling with the networking. Perhaps it is because I have a Google Chromecast (3rd gen), not the Timoom, and it doesn't seem to support a mode in which it is a wifi hotspot? Can you please clarify whether this should work with a Chromecast? It almost works with Chromecast Guest Mode, except Guest Mode only supports casting, not mirroring.

[and in reply to the guy who said you could use a Firestick, that doesn't seem to work because the Firestick — at least the 4Gen one I have — needs internet just to launch Apowermirror and in this setup the TV does not have access to internet.]

  3. If you have a firestick or android box just download ApowerMirror for your iPhone and your firestick, no extra gadgetry required does the same job
