  1. People in the comment section who think it’s cool that it’s built like a tank, forget that they’re more likely on the receiving end as a pedestrian, cyclist or in the other car, rather than in the cyber truck 😂

  2. They should make a rear wheel drive “aluminum edition” cyber truck to sell in Europe. I think the weird looks are enough to sell it. They just need to ensure that they badge it as aluminum and only sell it in Europe

  3. Yeah crumple zone is the biggest problem with this truck. There’s a reason cars don’t bounce back when they hit another car or a wall anymore. It’s to reduce the amount of deceleration on the driver.

  4. There's an active pedestrian protection system which is common in modern cars. Basically two springs which decompress on impact making the bonnet springy. My Dad needed it repaired on his 2 series BMW recently they charged 2.000 bucks, so it's probably around 200 bucks during production.

  5. To be fair, a metal that wouldn’t crumple at all would be a death threat for the people inside the car before anybody else

When hitting a pedestrian or a cyclist, the worst is not even the stiffness (even on a normal car it won’t bend enough to do much in a pedestrian collision, even if it will contribute still, but otherwise it would deform way too easily to protect the people inside the car in other situations), but the sharp angles, as it would give victims much deadly injuries, like being hit by a gigantic dull knife.

Oh, and I forgot, but physic’s laws are the same whether you are in the US or in EU.

What is the crash test rating for this thing ?

  6. There was a time bumprs were made to keep the car from many dents front and rear sections , i guess in Europe cars will soon require feather pillows for bumpers i heard they will hvqve cars there will soon automatic deploying Baskets on hoods to catch pedestrians in case or accidents.

  7. Just ask Elon Musk to call them a tank, not a car, and start supplying them in Europe under lend-lease, not selling them.
I hope then there will be no problems with certification in Europe. 😂

  8. I always thought Tesla is a good company with an awful CEO and I was right. Now with the Cybertruck becoming a reality/nightmare I think of Tesla as a bad company.
This vehicle clearly shows that it's not about saving the planet or to revolutionize mobility. It's just what some weird dude dreamt of when he was a kid and now has the money to make this shit happen.

Tesla did what they had to do: Change the industry so the reasonable car companies enter the electric car market. Now that they have managed it Tesla becomes more and more the company that either needs to find itself or just die.
