The battery charge status only updates on the mobile app following a motion alert.
Glad I came across your video's of Ring stuff as I have brought a Ring Doorbell Pro which I'm waiting on arrival and the customer service are pant's I would say. I ordered it via their website and there is no mention it is coming from China so I may end up with import duty on top of the £229 price tag which also will need the £24.99 yearly subscription. The company seem to be very money hungry and not provide much.
I like the nest cams but their cloud service is so much more expensive

Hi Ian, just looking back on your vids, how did you get on with the DJI? I bought the standard and what a nightmare with firmware updates, loss of signal, loss of WiFi connection, can't activate my account. It's going back today.
