5. I must confess how difficult it was to watch this film again. For me, forgiving the atrocities Japanese inflicted on our allies and on our fighting men and the women who served as nurses, is very, very, very difficult and impossible to understand and to do. In the past, I thought the displays of Japanese art and culture exemplified a refined society. From this film, if the facts are true, the Japanese military were barbaric and inhuman. This film reminds me of "Three came home," a story of either British or American family captured by the Japanese.during WW II.

6. War can only leave a very painful wound, leaving loved ones. Apart from all that we can conclude…. How much we love our beloved country

11. Methinks this might be the best movie I have ever seen. Gripping in every way, even humorous enough times, a point worth telling, great acting and all; An no salacious nudity or vocab, only what is appropriate to the story-telling. I wish all movies followed suit.

17. A huge public statement that could be compared the Democrat party today to the Japanese of the pre war WW2 era. Where they, thru military and government agreement subjugated the people before committing the country to war with an undeclared attack on pearl harbor.
