1. i dont get how it lag, my old tablet from 2016 for 150€ has the exynos 7870 (geekbench 5 –> 100/300) and it doesnt really lag on the lineage os 19.1 rom i flashed on it…
   also you can flash roms like pixel experience on the oneplus 7 pro for basicly unlimited software updates, my s9 and my brothers s10 both have the newest january patch of android 13 because of that!

2. Everyone is looking nostalgic at that OnePlus 7 pro. That was some serious power at his time. Even now is a good deal for budget

4. Older 2nd hand phones have lot of disadvantages imo. It can have replaced/duplicate parts or battery. Even if all the original parts are there battery would've degraded by the time you start using it, chips can just die after few years so older phones have lot of reliability and repairability issues. So many softwares and games doesn't support older android versions so I'd say newer cheap phones are way better deal if you just want a phone which is why most people are going for cheaper phones because they just NEED a phone that works.

5. Forget used flagships. Even used midrange devices will perform better.

8. Used Flaship is always the better option. The Flagship was built with the idea of being "best of the best" without compromise. With Custom ROMs you can easily extend the life and security of the old phone way past the new cheap phone. And if you go for the big brands(Samsung/Oneplus) you also get a smartphone thats more likely to be supported by the community.

13. Moto is manufacturing wonderful budget phones in India. You have to get them. Got my dad moto g 82 its wonderful the screen is amoled and i loved it… 120hz screen 1080p and camera is decent.. You have to try more budget phones. All this in a 200$ phone

15. The thing about software updates for this phone is that, even with updates, the overall usage experience with this phone will very likely still be terrible. Heck, it might even become worse! So, specifically for this phone, I feel that software updates don't really improve the situation much.

19. got a galaxy note 9 three years ago at 400€ as a refurbished phone (1 year after release if I'm not wrong) and I still have it and I still run it as a daily driver, this phone is rock solid in everything except the battery (as you said in your review xD) wich I had to change once last February. but yeah, overall I would always buy a older flagship than a newer cheaper model

21. The thing with OnePlus is… Every software update you hope they fix some bugs but instead they just end up creating more and don't fix the ones that already existed…

24. Poco and Realme have lots of options around $200 so yeah, budget phones are truly getting better and provides you everything you need in a phone.

26. Welcome to the real world, most people don't spend more than 200€ on a phone nowadays and these specs are nothing new in that price segment.

29. you could also buy a poco x3 pro, its a phone Ive had and its personally brilliant for only 200 pounds. you can also easily install a custom rom on it once your updates stop if you want to keep up with new os.

31. I've been getting NEW Xiami phones for 120 EUR that are way better than presented here with this Motorola and had lasted me for more than 3 years. I can't conceive spending more than 400 on a phone, let alone 700 or 1000!…. geesus..

35. work at cellular sales a retailer for Verizon and old people hate all of the motos the motorla edge the edge plus the moto edge its a hard pass compared to samsung phones and people want wireless charging

37. I gave my OnePlus 7 pro to my mom and she is thrilled with it. Regular software updates, much better camera then i remember it being when it first launched. Great battery life still. I wish someone made uninterrupted screen with the pop-up camera. I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

45. got a moto g play 2021 version for my mom and it's awesome for the price.

    the 2021 version has a qualcomm processor….slow buy not that slow.

48. Honestly, I've never understood people's gripe about plastic phones. I prefer it over glass. It's much more durable and it's lighter and I like both.

49. i still use my huawei p20 pro, a premium phone from 2018 and i can really tell these flagship phones were built to last. sure, it doesn't receive software updates anymore but the hardware is still amazing!

50. For me the deal breaker on the used flagship is non expandable memory. I have a 400GB micro SD card on my phone (in addition to the 256GB memory that it comes with). Plenty of fast mid-range phones available with expandable memory.
