  1. Game runs really great on 6800xt in 4k/max fsr2 quality. Finished the game and DLC without single Crash and stuttering and with average 70fps. Only people whos crying about bad pc port are nvidia users with low Vram cards.

  2. one of the laziest piss poor pc ports ive experienced to date. Its INSANE how much computational power this game requires and it looks worse than the ps5 versions in almost every metric. Lighting shafts, shadows, and ssr appear much worse on pc ultra settings than the ps5 version aside from pure pixel density.

Shame on Sony and Naughty Dog!

  3. Well in other words don't buy because PS3 emulation is about impossible. Would have been nice if they rebuilt the game from the ground up but yes it's a lot to ask for on a game that came from PS3 era. Hopefully it will get better.

  4. Very thorough analysis, thanks for the hard work NX_G! As the consoles are so solid now, it makes high end PCs really look incredibly inefficient(economically, architecturally, and even just power draw). This is just one game, but we are seeing a trend of PC releases requiring a substantial amount of resources just to match the PlayStation 5. It seems like the barrier to entry (for PC gaming) is higher than ever before, when using consoles as a baseline. Yes, it’s still the place where you can get the highest resolutions, frame rates, and graphic settings…but is it worth it?

  5. Ironically for Americans, everyone is still suffering from an outdated 1950 segeration infrastructure. This has been an ongoing issue for decades now. PC "enthusiast" need to move past motherboards and cable, and finally embrace soldering and upgradable SOC's. No more seperate and un-equal memory pools.

  6. Why is everyone saying this game was built for the PS3? This game is a complete remake in a new engine made for the PS5…

  7. It's ridiculous how at 1080p on medium settings, The Last of Us nearly reaches 8gb of vram, while RE4 at 1080p on high settings with raytracing goes just a little over 5gb of vram.

  8. This entire review is so biased and I’m not sure why ign is defending this? Like what do they stand to gain? Df did their analysis and said this game is a travesty graphically speaking. Even some ultra settings look worse than the ps5 on a 4090.

There is no reason a 2070 super shouldn’t be able to at least approach the ps5 fidelity. But the medium settings look like something from 2010.

  9. Blah blah blah. You shouldn't need a history lesson on Sony hardware and game development to play a game.
The greed is unjustifiable, they are charging AAA prices for an unfinished product that was clearly poorly scoped.

You're rambling excuses when really they should have provided an auto configuration system that analysed what its running on and adjusted settings automatically.
It's not like nVidia cards are a niche product that are only found on Arch Linux systems. They knew these issues were rampant but launched anyway.
