  1. 9:25 this is one of the most hair-brained things I've seen on a car. What did kia accomplish here? Every other hyundai/kia product has a clean row of buttons for the infotainment that takes no more than 1/2" of vertical space. And the climate controls could easily have been buttons. Instead you get this weird touchpad with no bumps or indents and controls that are all right next to eachother and you have to switch between climate and infotainment controls? It seems like a nightmare to use, and I'd even take the tesla climate taskbar over it.

  2. Looked this up, it's a 60k car, meaning it's probably closer to 70k. We're talking about a 70k car here. Almost no one in the comments or watching this video has 50k to buy a car, 40k is a lot… 20-30k is most people's range. EV's are never going to happen without massive communistic Government spending like we see, remove that and no one is buying EV's.

  3. Solid review!!! Thanks for producing such!!!! Also, that dismal range is indeed terrible!! Makes me think owners will be spending a lot of time recharging the vehicle and waiting for recharging to complete. Definitely not a vehicle to use to go on a trip somewhere. More like a vehicle for driving around the local area.

  4. Actually, you don't have to go into the car to open the charging door. Simply push on it from the outside and it'll pop right open for you.

  5. the interior looks a LOT like the elantra…that I paid 1/3 the price for…I like the drive selector and power…not for 60k and 200 miles 😬 yikes

  6. I cannot fathom how a company would push a car out with that many features and so little range. If it can't land the fundamentals, it's nowhere near "perfect." Would you buy a Cayman that can only hold an 8 gallon tank?

  7. My local dealer has this GT model really discounted so I thought I would get it so I drove the GT and GT line back to back. Just didn't get that much more fun out of the GT and I never could really get comfortable in those sport seats and that is #1 on my list of must haves – comfortable seats. Unlike the GT the GT-line not only has power seats but also ventilated seats which once I had I don't want a car without again. Both models have door handles that pop out when you unlock which unfortunately the Wind trim does not. Found a GT-line for about $52K so that is going to be my choice as soon as our new Colorado rebates take effect 7/1/23. Thanks for the good review.

  8. So the charge door can be opened from the outside of the car you just have to press on it when the vehicle is unlocked, you don’t always need to go into the car you can if you want, when you get the performance model you loose the range that’s just the fact even the tesla performance variants have shorter range than the non performance ones because your sacrificing distance for performance just like when you buy a Honda civic type R it doesn’t get as good fuel economy and the civic ex. The long range ev6 can do 500km on a full charge so much better than the gt because it’s not giving you all that speed and power.
As for the apple car play that’s just Kia trying to satisfy both the Korean market where androids are huge because Samsung is a Korean company and the American market where apple is huge so any Kia with built in navigation has wired CarPlay/ android auto because Kia didn’t want to pick a side to allow one of them to do the navigation, any Kia model without nav has wireless, if it’s too much of a pain to play in you can get a plug from Amazon for $50 that will convert your car to wireless.
I’m not a huge EV person but I am a huge car person and if your going to do a car review at least take the time to learn the car properly. No disrespect but you didn’t even know how to open the charge door.
And for the parking motion stuff from the key fob you have to lock the car then press and hold one of the directions and it will move.

  9. I'm surprised that so many cars don't have wireless Carplay/AA. This $300 radio I installed in my car has it, and I use it constantly.
(Yeah it's "expensive", but the whole unit is super nice.)
