  1. thanks for the MKBHD Studio Tour , Gerald! (and it's just crazy to see that level of gear. apart from that robot, I'm talking about just a gazillion Sachtler Flowtech tripods sittin' around on the podcast set. wtf. 😀 )

  2. Love mkbhd but man this video was boring af! Storylines are necessary and some background music to make it more engaging. I like you mkbhd but one skill you gotta learn is vocal variety

  3. Never seen this channel before but whats the guy's problem? acting all rude and unimpressed, he just comes off as bitter and annoying.

  4. Gerald, how about spending a small amount of time talking in studio interviews about how they handle sound recording? With all this very high-end equipment, I would imagine they do manage their own sound and don't hire a sound person to come in….is this true? How does this fit into their workflow?

  5. The money are from MSCHF they did all kinds of currencies and called them BLUR. I'm sure there's some meaning behind it because MSCHF wouldn't have done it if not, but IDK what it is.

  6. Was interesting. They don't need to invest this kind of money. But if you are going to, one thing that occured to me coming more from the audio side was that they're underinvesting in the audio relative to the video. Not that the Sound Devices Mixpres aren't really great working professional tools. But, if you're at the point where there are cinema cameras everywhere you look, shooting RAW, and ARRI Skypanels strewn all over – not to mention what they must have invested in lenses, tripods, grip stuff and all the other camera gear. At that point you could probably invest in really equivalently high end mic pre-amps and mics. But they're probably spending on video relative to audio at a 20:1 or 50:1 ratio. I know, most people listen on phone, tablet and laptops. Still, same point could be made for the video. Truth is, when most users are watching on tiny mobile phone screen, a good many of those are listening on headphones that are probably better quality listening devices than mobile phones are for displaying video. I could imagine at a push working with professional audio on standard earbud headphones, but couldn't imagine working with video that way. So, maybe audio should be given more priority than it is.

  7. Good tour, I thought it was going to be an in depth tour, but letting MKBHD talk about what he likes instead helps the video flow. This was still more in depth than other studio videos.

Would love to see how you film one of your videos in going in depth into each gear item the person uses.
