  1. I don’t know why I would ever buy these if I already had the Beats Studio 3. Maybe you can talk about this?

What I wanted is not in it:

    1. Pause/play music when I fold the headphones (like in Beats Solo pro)
    2. On ear detection (like in Beats Solo pro)
    3. Find my (like in AirPods Pro)
    4. Better design. The design is old and the shallow ear cups apparently make them uncomfortable
    5. Fast pairing and better switching between Apple products (like in older beats and AirPods)

This actually looks like a very very bad ideation and implementation of a product. They discontinued the solo pro and made absolutely no change to these over the studio 3.

If they would have re-released the solo pro, even they would have been better than this.

  2. I think the only reason Beats still exist is for apple to hook android users to get into their ecosystem. Once someone buys Beats it won't be as seamless as airpods with Iphone so some people will buy airpods and get into their ecosystem.

  3. On one hand, I'm actually glad that an Apple product can be used well enough outside their ecosystem. On the other hand, they're only doing that to avoid eating into Airpod Max sales 😂

  4. hey marques, could you please try using the iPhone charger cable (the newer usbc to lightning cables) and see if that makes the lossless work? maybe make a shorts about it… because I have a few of those cables around from my iPhone and my AirPods. and I live very far from an Apple Store to try it myself. thanks

  5. The question is: Does Apple set up Mac's Bluetooth connection window for this? still can't believe this is Apple's first-party product.

  6. i used to really like my beats and used them everyday cause they worked so well with my iphone. then i switched to bose and discovered true quality lol

  7. Wouldnt it be a sad world if all headphones were tune flat. Look what happen to the solo when apple change the look and sound to much they didnt sell..beats have a target consumer, and it may not be the guy wearing airpod max

  8. I still don't get what the differences are between this and the 2016 pair. Why would I pay 350 for almost an identical product in the $150 discounted 2016 pair? They have the same usb c port, same noise cancellation, and same quick connect.

  9. I’ve still got my Beats Studio 1s, spent just over 400$ CAD. Still my favourite and only headphones I’ve used for 10 years. They’ve held up so good, been considering getting a new pair so they have Bluetooth.

  10. seriously Marques? I already know these headphones are such a waste of money for dumb people to buy. I have the galaxy buds 2 and they have everything, beats aren't luxury it's stupid marketing item just because it's by a celebrity. I've had beats solo 2 wireless back then, and it's stupid and it broke. it doesn't have good sound it Cannot beat Samsung galaxy buds. if anyone wants to buy a overpriced stupid headphones then that's the worst financial decision u made

  11. The only acquisition apple has ever absorbed into their ecosystem. But people forget apple owns them because they want it like that. Beats are supposed to be apple products that android users can use and pretend like they never buy anything from apple

  12. I think they wanna keep Apple audio like air pods in the Apple eco system. It would make no sense to have beats and AirPods competing against each other. They just let beats branch off into its own none Apple category. It makes sense

  13. In theory: Could lossless audio work with iPhones via USB-C to lightning adapter or is the bandwidth of lightning a bottleneck there? (Or Apple being the control freaks that they are…)
