  1. I don’t get why y’all are cheering on Threads. You seriously want Zuck/Meta to have a complete monopoly on social media!? That’s a dystopian nightmare.

  2. Couple notes. The brown lucid brings out the boomer in me. It looks really good.

Handheld gaming consoles are not it. I have a switch and play it exclusively on the TV. I've played it as a handheld twice. Once when o was playing Breath of the Wild in bed when I was sick. Most recently again when I played Tears of the Kingdom at an airport 😂

  3. 1:11:01 hand helds are the ONLY systems I even buy anymore, independent retro game emulators are HUGE right now… everything else is PC, and even there I've stuck to laptops for years now!

  4. 30:20 "the good ole 'Google-try'" … Painful reminder of all the Google projects that were cut way too early 😥

Who remembers Inbox or Project Ara?

  5. yo hcp?
I think im your age ('94?.. maybe not) and have NOT played for 13 years,. just broke hcp 10 , then my parents got scared id get to awesome so they said no :_D

  6. TV sticks are under hyped! Its nice to have all your stuff all logged in and able to take traveling and easily continue shows where you left off and play all your GeForce Now games without having to log in and waste time!

  7. You said that thing about YouTube premium being a good deal for $12 and the same day YouTube says "alright that'll be $14 now" 💀

  8. I'm more curious on your thoughts on BlueSky currently? More and more people have been joining due to the exponential nature of the invite codes going out, and it really feels like it's thriving and a true potential Twitter/X replacement right now.

  9. Disclaimer: I own and love a switch and don't own any handheld gaming PC.

That being said, fellas your reasons for powerful handheld gaming consoles being overhyped were F Tier terrible. You essentially said "why would I want to be able to play Zelda on a plane when candy crush exists. I see way more people playing on their phones than on a Switch so therefore it is overhyped"

Nothing is stopping you from playing simple games on a powerful rig. However I can say there were many times that I wished my switch was more powerful so I could play all my games on it, and so I could run Zelda at a stable 30fps or even 60fps.

You could say they're overhyped because of poor battery life, or bulk etc, but saying nobody wants the choice to play demanding games where they like is a bafflingly bad take.

I'd love to be able to play Spider-Man 2 on the train to work when that comes out, for example.

PS: Love the show, especially love this segment since it made me engage with the podcast in a way I usually don't.

  10. Marques and Andrew clearly aren't gamers. The Switch has sold 125M units – it's the 3rd best-selling console of all time. By any measure that's a staggering achievement by Nintendo, who were almost dead in the water after the Wii U. And it's still selling, despite its outdated hardware, because the ecosystem is so solid. So I'd argue it's under-hyped. But all the new Windows handhelds coming out – overhyped, due to their terrible X86 battery life. So – perfectly hyped?

  11. @andrew! You can delete the devices with downloads on your Netflix settings! On their website only. It shows which devices have downloaded material right now and when was the last time there were things downloaded. So you can just go and delete the oldest device

  12. Regarding copyright and related issues on Twitter and the internet in general, I believe that the work being done in the AI department could actually be helpful. If Google uses its "all scraping" Bard-thing to track the origins of content and who posted it and when, it could actually be beneficial for once… Maybe..?

  13. One thing to consider in the streaming sticks is some tvs with built in streaming apps degrade and slow down fast and I think many people decide to buy a stick to to stream OVER the slow software (looking at you VIZIO)

  14. Just a wee correction but with free spotify, you CAN actually select individual songs for the playlists spotify makes for you! I basically only use spotify for the discover weekly playlist (literally the greatest thing ever)

  15. I like the discussion withe Spotify. I would never pay for it though because you can get the same service with youtube music and also Ad free regular YouTube

  16. if you’re gonna talk about the santa fe then show me the santa fe! you have 2 ppl off the camera, is it that hard to insert a screen share or thumbnail like you did for the kia ev? you’re the production bros on youtube🤷🏻‍♂️

  17. Ok I always thought an RGB keyboard was ridiculous extra I wouldn't pay for, then I got a laptop that happened to have it and now I can't imagine a keyboard without it: it lets me seey keyboard in a dimmly lit room. That means I can unwind while I type, or nurse a headache, without squinting when I glance at the keyboard, or try to put in a password when my hands aren't in perfect touch-typing position. I love RGB. It might be over hyped for a lot of a applications, but adjustable lighting on a keyboard is incredible.

  18. It is pretty sad when your only option to escape Elon Musk is Zuckerberg. This is probably why I just don't do social media at all any more.
