  1. Honestly I hate that cars is low key the only thing Marques talks about these days. Like I’m here for tech not for cars. And I get it that the two are merging but like I honestly do not care about cars or car brands.

  2. Portrait Screen? If you word process documents it gives you a full page, drafting contracts, real estate instruments, court pleadings, etc., real documents to make the world work. LG Screen in a Suitcase? If your work involves travel maybe you need a display screen larger than a laptop? All of you sound like you’ve have limited experience outside of college, video games and YouTube.

  3. Fisker ocean is out in Northern Europe. Just because it hasn’t been seen by you guys in the US, doesn’t mean it isn’t out. Kind of rules out that entire segment for me.

  4. The LG briefcase TV is lowkey amazing. It's like a better "sit around the laptop" experience in every way. Heck, maybe you can actually use it as a portable second display for your laptop (I dont know if it has HDMI/DP or if the wireless is fast enough). This seems like almost mandatory packing for family vacations.

  5. That “cheaper” Tesla thing makes absolutely no sense to me. They’re still selling you the car with the exact same battery capacity. Why are they suddenly able to charge cheaper just because the software limits the range? Isn’t it still the same price to manufacture the car if the battery size is the same? This is just being scummy selling you a car for a price they know they can sell it at and still make profit, but charging you more by enabling the full capacity. In theory the model S could be $80,000 with the full range and still make them a profit, the extra $10k for a software feature being enabled is absolutely insane. I don’t know why people find this okay.

  6. Maybe the plot here about the standard range Tesla X and S is really increasing the availability of the supercharger network, a challenging equation to deal with, considering the opening to other carmakers.

  7. What are you guys talking about? Lucid has cars shipping now. You can buy it, you can drive it. How is that an "eventually" category?

  8. I'd love that TV if it had windows. This thing is very good in construction and for engineers doing off-grid sites.
It is very applicable in places that are hard to reach (no electricity) for education, health care, etc. I love this device!!

  9. Fisker started deliveries in Europe first. And it looks like they did deliveries in the US as well.

“1,022 vehicles produced in Q2 2023 and 1,009 produced in July, which had fewer working hours due to the planned Magna Steyr annual summer shutdownb. Calendar 2023 production forecast updated to a range of 20,000-23,000 units due to a short-term capacity constraint at one supplier.”

  10. The LFP battery Tesla is great, I have a SR Model 3 RWD. Even though the range is shorter than the long range model the battery can be charged to 100 percent with minimal degradation. 15k miles on mine and the range is still 270 miles, only 2 miles off the rated 272 brand new.

  11. Okay LG hit gold they just need to extend battery life and added stylus support. This is a really cool product! How much memory does it have because it was running applications? Could it read SSD? Could you plug it into a dock?

  12. The difference between battery limiting through software and self driving, is that you buy the software for the self driving. You don’t buy the software for the battery limiting.
    It’s not added value.

  13. Having locked battery range is good for battery longevity since it is would take a lot longer to actually reach a degradation level where it reduced your range.

  14. is everyone here living in a bubble? for most folks, electric vehicles are way too expensive to buy let alone install home chargers. my family, single parent, two kids, we’ve relied on our $500 third-fourth-hand stead. we would dread MOT day. wake up guys. i watch every episode of this, but to pass by on vehicles as it’s a kin to everyone. its truly not

  15. That LG briefcase TV is a very niche product, but it seems to be a great creator tool, especially for creators that live in their cars or vans for a living traveling across the country/countries.
