  1. They are more active in innovation than any other smartphone and software company. Show me what Apple does other than resell the same device while acting like they've reinvented the wheel. I'd rather see Google keep exploring rather than sit on their hands.

  2. On Arstechnica we joke and sometimes even bet, on how long it will take before Google ends a brand new product they’ve just introduced.

  3. They said this statement 7 years too early, this need to be proven, no just some useless promises. Apple has PROVEN that they will support your phone for many years. They don't need to brag about it. And in tech word 7 years is a long ass time. Just imagine your iPhone 6s Running iOS 17. It will be slow af. Don't get surprised phones in the future has some machine learning cores or some bs. And your 7 years phone will look very sad with a lot of limitations.

  4. Im sure there's enough on Google's track record to not trust them to maintain anything other than Google search and Gmail. If they break that promise, who's there to file a class action lawsuit, not Pixel users who are probably more likely to upgrade phones semi-frequently as they are already mavericks for picking a Pixel in the first place

  5. we will all be living in the metaverse in 7 years, smartphones will be obsolete because we'll all be wearing AI smart glasses (I recently preordered the quest 3 lmao)

  6. Bang on. Buy a phone on its current features and that meets your needs. Having said that, I trust Apple to deliver. Google? Never! Apple makes investments for their future. Google is just a hype machine. 7 years of support? It's about time to make a commitment on the platform. Will they actually deliver; ya no. Do not trust them. If they actually care about building trust, they should deliver on this whether or not they make money on it. I'll check in on it in 5 years. Until then, I'll keep supporting Apple. Google burned users trust long ago. Recent announcements are another example.

  7. 7 Years of updates it's just a marketing BS to have something better than Apple.
I'm going to predict right here that Pixel 8 will not see 7 years of updates…
    Mark my words!

  8. Apple doesn’t promise anything about their OS, they just do it. That is why people are unsure if their iphones will still be supported on the next OS. The 6s is a great example with 7 years of support while some like the X has like 5.

  9. Lol Google won't pay you for good words,so you mat hate google and biased review,Apple may advertise on your channel,so pepple understand where you coming from ,Google is king

  10. At this point, i can only trust Samsung because they actually supported my previous Note 10+ for 3 years. Now i'm on S22 Ultra, already got my first update to One UI 5 (now on 5.1 security September 2023), can't wait for One UI 6.

  11. My Domains were with google domains as well . I just hope they never kill Google Fi, i was happy it even escaped the "project fi" phase . But i most certainly NEVER . TRUST . GOOGLE

  12. It be mega dope if Flossy Carter told google to calm down like he tells his cat white shoes in practically every video 😎 google is way, way too damn ambitious and they need to slow it down and take it one step at a time. not looking too promising for google underdelivering right now. I'm so glad u made this video 😎 It gave me knowledge that google ain't all peaches and cream when it comes to future promises and software updates

  13. I used to have a Pixel 2XL back in the day, and if memory serves me right, it only got two Android updates. The most ridiculous part? In the same year, they rolled out some plastic piece of crap with a worse processor than in my 2XL, and they still decided to ditch support for it. Never again. I've been a happy iPhone user ever since.

  14. The only reason Google drive is still used is because Microsoft decided that they want people to pay a subscription to use the software.

  15. Yeah, this remind me of Tesla promise to model S owner on unlimited free charging. Apparently, it’s a trending now that big company break their promise.
