I don't want to be dramatic, but this episode may have been one of the bigger turning points in my adult life.
Move over Laine, I've got task apps to use.
Google Tasks, Keep and Calendar are perfectly fine for regular peeps. Ticktick and Todoist are paywalled for the good stuff
All these are great, but i wish there was a productivity app that automatically ticks off the tasks. 😁
I have no idea how Andrew manages his life through the alarm app.
I know this doesn't mean anything but I got 3.939s on the "Type the Alphabet" test. I get Uber-competitive about that stuff too lol
Assistant does have recurrent tasks with google tasks, you just say remind to do x thing every Sunday at 8am
Theres a calendar widget app that looks great and works with Google calendar called "agenda" its for android. I also have a family calendar in google calendar for my wife and i to add an event which each of us can see
Yeah Andrew has a classic case of ADHD
Andrew, how did you catch the wife like? Oh my God she's so I have no words Andrew. I have no words
Please adjust the chapter for the first sponsor read. I thought it was a 5 min ad read but i just missed a bunch of the podcast
Remember when the best tool ever was Google inbox? I still grieve over that app
Pen and paper works best for me. If I write something down, I will remember it. If I type it, most times I would forget it.
I'm also in Andrew's camp. I use only alarms to remember if I need to do something. If it's far ahead(many days) I use Google Calendar.
I want all of your episodes to be this.

23:08 iOS is pretty good at realizing events in messages and emails and prompts you to save it.
My biggest issue with the Google Tasks app is that I cannot share a task with another user, which is mind-boggling considering you can collaborate with almost all other Google ecosystem apps. My family is very much in the Google ecosystem, but looking for a free task app that we can share a task list to know what has or has not been done.
I am convinced. Drop everything & use the Alarm app.
Remember: Don't forget.
Todomate is all you need
am I the only one not getting the natural language processing on gTasks? The ticker is the bane of my existence
for me as a student, I mostly use Apple Calendar, it's simple , easy to use , syncs pretty fast. and most important is that if u flip the iPhone in horizontal view it will change to weekly view and u can just drag and drop things. I use it to add anything : reminders, events , study tasks , people birthdays , a movie I wanna watch later …etc , u can set a calendar to each of these categories. u can ask Siri to add an event. i think the main downside is if u have other devices from other companies & it doesn't have a list where u have the satisfaction of checking todos
I am literally on Marquez Side, and I went MS todos, ticktick, todoist and then craft and now I am using Notion with craft with MS todo. So I am kind of stuck with the same syndrome. 🤣

Stacking widgets makes life so much better
That's how I use the alarm app as well. My whole day and week is set up there.
We need an episode for email clients
This motivated me so much
I would say try Structured but it doesn't crossover android to ios data :c
Just like Andrew i do all my reminders with the alarm app
any one else able to get 3.361s?
non-negotiable for a productivity app, must have the option to start the calendar view on a Monday
My favorite pod of talks to date. Got me really thinking about my setup
You guys are overthinking this!.😭 Any task which takes <10 mins -> set a reminder Any task/event which takes >10 mins -> set a calendar event

Is the verge cast guy using an M1 air?
Not using apps is the most productive.
8:24 what app/website is this?
1:00:06 I just tried asking Hey Google remind me every Monday morning to do x, it successfully created a repeating reminder in the task app.
