If you show a list of the top one hundred players with their mains and secondaries, and ask someone from elsewhere in the FGC which characters they think we want mechanics banned for, They'd say Fox. Then you tell them, "No, it's actually these two characters"; The number of Icie and Jigglypuff mains in the top one hundred can almost be counted on one hand, while Fox takes up around half.

11. Yeah, I agree with banning wobbling. It's stupid when you have to play around this one technique that guarantees a stock when you get grabbed. It's too degenerate and needs to go, even if Melee is essentially a 'solved' game by now.

13. Icies force both players to play degenerately, enable players to be competitive while lacking fundamental skills, and would 1000% be patched out if it could be. There aren’t any reasons to give people the option to compete with this “strategy”, its an exploit that enables a character to be played as degeneratley as is conceivable.

14. Just my quick thoughts. A thing like wobbling is not just breaking the concepts of Melee, it breaks the concept of fighting games in general. In no fighting game (to my knowledge) can you instantly kill your opponent for getting one grab or read. Not in SF, Tekken, MvC, SamSho, Mortal Kombat, etc; sure you have extremely high damage combos that can put you close to death, but not "unbreakable 0 to deaths".
    It's straight up game breaking. Obviously Melee released almost 2 decades ago and was a huge oversight/non issue for the devs (and would be patched out in current times), but yeah. Even though it makes ICs viable against top tiers, it's still degenerate and should be banned.

26. ice climbers aren't going to win nationals. They'll just screw up brackets spamming their low risk/ absurdly high reward grab.
    Not only that, but when Armada was playing along with Hbox this did nothing to their consistency for making top 8s winner's side, but was a potential upset for all the other top players.
    With Armada and Hbox already being very consistent players with generally more consistent characters; having their tourney threats knocked out by wobblers who have no actual shot at taking the tourney is not good for the scene.

29. They fear it as a community stinker, so why don't we handle it like this.

    Ban the maneuver until the end of pools, this way lower level players aren't polarized, and the true Icy players need to put more work in. Once you get to Top 64 or Top 32 it'll become a necessity to place decently just due to how easily gimped Nana can suffer and not everyone can pull a Bananas or ChuDat with Sopo.
