  1. The 6a is honestly the first smartphone that I have outright regretted buying. The in-screen fingerprint reader is a big downgrade from a dedicated rear reader that lets me unlock the phone as I pull it from my pocket. I leave it in battery save mode all the time because it doesn't get through a day otherwise. Cell and GPS signal is incredibly flaky compared to my 3a and my iPhone SE. And the phone overheats almost every time I record a video when Photos starts syncing it.

  2. I have one sitting on my office shelf, bought new on launch. Opening the screen with the fingerprint reader SUCKS, repeat it SUCKS and will always Suck. Done all the fixes, updates, reregister, still sucks. I hold finger long enough, sucks. Got a Pixel 7 (generally love pixels). In daylight or decent indoor light both the facial recognition and the FP reader are good. The facial is excellent most often in lighted situations. In dim light/dark plan on entering your pin. I cannot understand how anyone would recommend a phone that 50 to 100 times a day, you have to fight to get it open (6a). I'll trade it on an Pixel 8xxx whenever they launch next fall. BIG FAIL on the screen FP reader on 6a, BTW the REAR FP reader on previous pixels was FINE. Froggy.

  3. Just picked up a Pixel 6 on a 2 year tab for $6 monthly, the best part about the deal was they'd take $16 off my next 15 bills!

So not only do I get the phone dirt cheap my phone plan is now $10 cheaper for 15 months, such a good deal!

  4. Here in the states yes, the pixel six a is 299 and there’s not another new phone in that price bracket that comes close to that. value.

  5. I like mine. The fingerprint sensor has been an adventure. It started "ok",got worse, then got much better, and now is not so great again. I miss the capacitive sensor of old which was always great. Other than that and some occasional connectivity weirdness, it's been great, as has android 13 (12 almost pushed me to an iphone).
