  1. I’m thinking this is a woke USA thing , let’s be honest no one had a gun at their head when buying an iPhone and everyone that has one seems to happy with their purchase and the Apple Watch only works with the iPhone cool who cares if these things bother you that much then g Android speak with your wallet because let’s face it when sales drop and customers are leaving that’s when Apple will pay attention no one’s a prisoner unless they choose to be USA STOP MOANING MAKE THE CHANGE you maybe pleasantly surprised

  2. Why buy a smartwatch? If you want a health monitor for a smartwatch, buy a whoop or a ultrahuman. Dont use the smartwatch for notifications. You are already losing most of your attention to your smartphone. Why also take in anxiety issues from not checking the notifications whenever your smartwatch vibrate/ring? Get a regular watch. Its more better and more peaceful

  3. How iphone users seen to convince themselves that apple phones are superior, apple as a company is superior and you're dumb and broke if u have an Android is crazy to me still. Just love to watch their peanut sized brains get pulled and locked into the ecosystem while going out of their way to buy all their overpriced products that can only work with one device

  4. So company that makes good phone cannot dominate the market is the congress’s logic… got it😅 Apple is not company or corporation in history where they unethically dominate market using vertical and horizontal integration, Apple is not unethical in any means, in fact they support great causes.

  5. I decided to do away with the BYOD policy for my company and standardized on the iPhone. As a lifelong Android user I put myself at a position to now use the pro Max alongside my Galaxy S23.
Love the polish, stability, and consistency of the iPhone. I love the fact that even non-apple Bluetooth peripherals respond faster on the iPhone while pairing. THAT IS ALL!

Every other user experience feature on the iPhone feels AT LEAST a generation behind android. The voice dictation is non-functional. There's no AI assistant for note taking during meetings. The typing experience on the iPhone has not been this bad on Android for at least 7 years. The keyboard choices are hacky implementations at best. The user interface is clearly not suited for the large screen that the iPhones now have available. What a terrible experience from a day-to-day perspective!
    My non-technical staff is happy, though… Curiously, they can't explain why… (I let them know what's magic!)😊

  6. I think something a lot of ppl miss is that apple isn't just competing on features and vertical integration, if apple wants to give their watches extra features that are meant to work with their phones, that's fine, that's the competition on innovation, the thing is apple doesn't just give extra features, they're actively blocking other manufacturers from using their tech even on the baseline. There's no reason that an apple can't, at minimum, have the standard features of every other smartwatch when hooked to any other phone, same with earbuds, same ipads and every other thing. This isn't vertical integration, this is hostile interference. *That's* why they're getting in trouble both in the us and Europe. Which, the fact that Europe also sued them kinda proves that it's not just about the monopoly in the us bc, as been said, iphones are the minority outside the us

  7. Here’s my opinion, I love the Apple ecosystem and if I have an iPhone I want the best experience and use the features that are native to the iPhone, I like Apple Pay it’s already build into the software it just makes sense, why would I want to use google pay or Samsung pay, I don’t have those phones, it’s the same thing if I had Samsung or google, if I have an iPhone, why would I want an android watch.

  8. I think apple not making imessage work with android is not illegal. However them banning or blocking 3rd party applications that can integrate, is illegal.

  9. UK citizen here. Apple fans care about Apple products. But nobody else does. My mum uses a Macbook Air from probably 7 years ago and she loves it but she won't use an iPhone.
My best friend who is… not very technologically literate… asked me what phone she should get because her 2016 iPhone SE wasn't working anymore. And as much as I'm an Android user who wouldn't be caught dead using an iPhone, I told her to get whatever the latest iPhone SE was (don't bother with "Pro", it's a waste of money). She doesn't use AirPods. She doesn't even use a Mac. But I knew she just needed something familiar. So that's what I told her to get. And it works well for her.
People here buy what works for them. To us, it's completely ridiculous that there's a place in the world where the logic is "i need to buy this expensive thing because all my friends have this expensive thing and they won't talk to me if I don't buy the expensive thing too". But I've had a friend of mine from the USA herself say that financial responsibility in America is lacking, to say the least. This is same country where everyone buys a massive pickup truck to go to the supermarket 2 blocks across. So I think it's a greater problem across America.
All in all, I'm glad Apple is being punished for their bad corporate behaviour, but the root problem is American culture itself imho. Apple needs to be more open and less greedy, and Americans need to stop falling for it. You're just being exploited by companies who pretend to be your best friend.

  10. in middle school i had an android but never brought it to school bc i knew i would get bullied for it. people mostly used social media to message each other instead of imsg back then so there was no issue of green bubbles. i have an iphone now and its too difficult to switch when i have an entire apple ecosystem 😬

  11. they once competed based on innovation (software features & hardware + side tools), Apple seems to have won in the US and now they are being sued for winning?

  12. Important to note that these features aren't just impossible because other smartwatches don't have them, it is because Apple blocks competitors from accessing them on the iphone.

  13. Apple can do anything because people will buy doesn't matter if there phone hardware and function 5 year back then other phone😂

  14. The toxic moat that Apple puts around their walled garden is what makes me hope the DoJ makes real change. The SMS/RCS thing is the most egregious. Cook's response "Buy your mom an iPhone" doesn't work because now your mom can't send everyone else high definition stuff like she could before. Also iPhones are dumb expensive. The problem is I really also don't like government.

  15. On one hand, yeah Apple is a bit anti-competitive by making everything their walled garden ecosystem. But on the other hand, it's still just customer choice, and frankly Google failed to keep up. Sundar is driving Google into obselescense.

  16. It may sound far fetched, but if nicotine is legal, then I see no reason to block apple. Because if you think about it, it's the same. You don't have to try ir, you are not obligated, but if you try it, it's really hard to leave it behind

  17. I think this will work out well for Apple because they do stand out in terms of their build, design (however boring they dictate phone design currently), and interesting way of doing things so giving users the opportunity to taste what Apple products are all about by allowing them to buy AirPods and watches will only give Apple the chance at gaining a new customer by already selling them something it’s a win win I feel and Apple should quit being so nervous to do it

  18. Honestly leaving the apple ecosystem difficulty is a myth imo and anyone who wants to leave can it's really not that hard. There isn't anything you can do on your iphone that you don't do an Android! the only thing that changes a bit is Apple to Android communication. Even that really is a non-factor. Blue or green bubbles only matter to arrogant people most people really don't care from experience using both apple and Android.

  19. you might also think about we paying for the phone storage and the OS with its data system taking half maybe more of that paid storage, so you actually not paying for storage the OS most have its different storage then the actual the user using, the OS is paid with phone price.

  20. I have had an Android phone for years, but wanted an IPhone. Still got an Android phone. Bought Apple IPad Mini, and Macbook Air a couple of years ago. Those are enough for me.

  21. The thing is in other countries iPhone is just way too expensive. And most people use WhatsApp which is better or at the very least just as good as iMessage. So there's nothing to pull people in since even iphone users use WhatsApp

  22.  simply makes a product that works well and is secure. The trade off is that the user can’t customize their phone that much. If the OS was opened up, there’d be little point in  vs Android imo. The US DOJ needs to let  be  and focus on more significant issues.

  23. I know men & women, that won’t even go on a date with a person, if they have an android. I’m using a iPhone right now & I don’t see a d@mn thing so special about it. If you think about it, a iPhone user doesn’t actually own their phone. Apple only let you do what they want & download what they only allow. You gotta buy official apple parts for your phone. It should be up to the buyer, on what they want to do with their phone.
