I was about to get the Nokia lumia 520 but it ran Microsoft and Microsoft doesn't have all the good apps. I liked the lumia theme though. I got the huawei ascend y520 its cheap and I really recommend it.
And I got an android phone because I wanted a change from apple.

Nexus 4/5 can be bought for very cheap now.
The thing about the cheaper android phone are is in about 4 months its going to lag badly. I can't say the same for Windows.
I also recommend the LG Optimus L90 to all those people who want a decent phone for $99.60 full price. $4.15 per month 24 months! All in T-Mobile
