In my opinion the 349 is a much better racing craft at a much cheaper price http://bit.ly/diatoneGTR349 what do you guys think? and what is the deal with that carbon?

can I use an Multiplex smart sx 6 for an drone because I want to start as cheap as possible and if don't have to buy a radeo it would be Pretty good?
The carbon has aramid/Kevlar sheets in the sandwich. This normally increases strength, shock resistance and flexibility of the composite. However, when it is not layered properly ie you don't have your warp fibres running in the right direction – parallel with applied force in most instances – the composite properties will change drastically. I don't think diatone manufacture their own composite board or pay attention to fibre direction when they machine. This is why it seems so flexible – not layered in accordance to it's application.
You may also find that the vibration of the video is due to the frame resonating more readily as a result of its flexibility.
yellow carbon fibre like that is usually a carbon/kevlar blend. It's better quality. You'll see racing yacht sails and solar racer bodies often have the same pattern.
Some of those caddx cameras are seriously shit. I had two that had jello so bad i had to throw them out.
Im curious to see what the 6S version of this quad can do.
Also I wanted to buy a new drone, and it was either between this one, or the Holy bro Kopis 2. I ended up going with the holybro kopis 2. I hope I made the right decision

The yellow is kevlar, lighter as good as carbon in tension but weak in compression. Still it's a pain in the ass to cut .
its probably a filler layer between the carbon sheets. it keeps the price down and you don't need solid carbon. common fillers are Kevlar and fibre glass.
Do you think there’s some kind of signal lag because of those whatever the motor wires go into first before ESCs. That’s the area responsible to bring rigidity to frame so there’s always a lot of stress force there so there may be vibrations going on messing with motor signal to ESCs.
I think that yellow stuff is Kevlar in the frame.

Nice Review but please Stew, if you have an amp meter on the quad, please also show the current amps drawn.. would really be interesting how much the different setups pull.
What is possibly not to like about the motif wire PDB? Can’t get a cleaner look.
You should do a real crash test straight into a tree at 92 mph and see how it comes through it!
Painless360 has done a few videos about the effects of tpu on your antennas. The tpu or other plastics changes the frequency of the signals which are of course not the ones you are planning to receive, worsening your video reception. So that antenna encased in the back is not a good idea.
Looks like you were having to force moves, and the jello was bad. As far as the carbon goes, if it works it works

Hi Stew and Guys, I don't like the frame , I have a problem with the way the wires are at the frame, looks great but the frame should hang on the wall with the cat going out.
