  1. What if
Surface duo 3 is only upgraded duo 2 but with the samsung fold type of hinge in the middle and not being able to flip it back to back

    Would that be any better?

  2. I think the duo would have worked well if Microsoft targeted it as a premium business mobile. The phone with the duo screen is a great phone from a productivity perspective. Much better than any foldable phones out there but it lacked a good OS dedicated for that form factor. Microsoft should have tried to develop their own mobile OS again instead of relying on android.

  3. THE best think Microsoft can work on is to create I pad like device with arm compatibility while competing with only i pad for now this will create a productivity ecosystem coz they don't have to fight android on apple is there main coopetition so fucus on i pad like Tablets with mini keyboards fully optimized for ARM CHIPS by Microsoft will help it the most

  4. Engineers in Samsung have almost always been right.
Every one tries but fails then they have got only one way to follow- The Samsung Way

Why waste time…Just Copy what Samsung does……

  5. The formfactor for me as a business person the surface duo 2 is sooooo crazy good, every time Im using a onscreen phone it feels like a child's toy. The two screen concept brings so much real multitasking workflows. If the new splits teen first on there new big screen, this is a big win. If not and it's just scaling the image bigger, I think it will lose the actual benefit. BTW I'm writing this on a duo 2 and controlling a boring automatic website task. That's real multitasking

  6. Dudes, smartphones have been good enough for the past 4 years now.
The only people who care about rumours are tech journalists who seek engagement to keep their income levels up, and a bunch of fanboys who don’t represent the 99.9% of the market.

Just keep your phone until it falls apart. In fact, I’d rather keep my phone longer than the OEMs would like.

Personally I believe the OEMs should be forced by law to open up their phones once they stop supporting them.

You know, because it annoys the hell out of me all those people throwing away perfectly working hardware, in a world drowning in waste, and whilst a third of the world doesn’t have a smartphone or could afford one.

It’s a global disgrace. I think this is far more important than listening to BS ‘rumours’ often created themselves by the PR companies.

  7. One of my colleages used to have this case that could hold two Note 4's in this form factor. Two completely different phones, one case, one personal phone, one work phone. I think if a company could do some software tweaks to make one device which can hold two entirely canned OS, but seamlessly switch to expand one OS across two screens when required, it could find a solid niche in the business market. Dual sim phones are already well in demand by a large part of the market (outside of NA mostly). Why couldn't this work.

  8. OK so I will say this I know one person that has the surface duo 2 and he is more or less just a straight up business guy and like he said for productivity and work it is the greatest phonee has ever had. But for regular person I tried it out it's not for regular people if you're a business person It will fit that lifestyle completely.

  9. First Smartphone of 2023 is already here (well, for us at least if not the west). It's the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro and Pro+
