  3. Hi Jon, my husband likes to fall asleep earlier that I do, so I’d like a TV with Bluetooth (so I can use my airpods) but also have a dimmer, so that the brightness doesn’t disturb my husband while he tries to sleep. One last thing, I’d like the TV to have buttons on the TV itself, so that if we loose the remote control, we can still use the TV without having to wait while we order a new one. Any suggestions?

  7. PLEASE H E L P ! ! ! H E L P ! ! ! Two of our 7 inch TV's have red lights when connected to the electrical power; however, no picture. QUESTION: Do we buy a new one OR WE CAN CONTINUE USING the two TV's if we replace the battery packs inside? And, do we need a soldering machine? Thanks.

  12. Zooming out you suddenly become aware that all of this is happening on a TV screen β€” an epic space opera playing out for someone’s entertainment. But the actors don’t know they’re actors. To them, this galactic orgy is as real as real gets.

  13. I don't get why everyone is recommending OLED. Even the slightest chance that a $2000-$2500 TV could get burn-in and ruin the display is an instant turn off for me. I keep my TV for 10 years. Looking at tests, an OLED would probably last at most 5 years before burn-ins become a major issue. There are many reports of S95B getting visible burn-ins just a few months in.
Also 12:10 "No risk of burn-in". This is completely false, why would you even state that?

  15. I just bought a 77” LG C2 for my family room because I wanted the best picture at that larger size. It’s a shame that QD-OLED is only available up to 65”, because that really wasn’t big enough although I would have preferred the picture. Overall glad I went for the C2 and I think it was the right choice.

Oh and I can’t wall mount anything where I live, so the G2 didn’t seem like a great option.

  16. Question. When shopping for a new tv it sounds like knowing what year it is, is important. So are there any tricks to determine how old the new tv in the store actually is? Great video thanks for your work.

  18. isn't dolby vision only supported with LG and Sony? I heard you mention it about samsung, im pretty sure they don't pay for that licensing. Correct me if wrong though

  20. What is the last sentence he says? Something like…"Whatever you do, make sure you get an HDMI 2…..port? I can't understand what he said. Thanks in advance.

  21. 11:29 Are QD-OLEDs actually brighter than traditional OLEDs though? I don't think that's universally true quite yet. The LG G2 is brighter than both QD-OLEDs on the market right now.

The biggest advantage is better colour delivery. That's really where the extra money is going.

  22. Hey all you tv experts, the last high end tv I bought before having kids was 20 yrs ago………39" Panasonic plasma. Still have it and picture is great. I am looking to purchase a 48 or 50 inch (all I have room for) tv this fall for TV, Netflix / Hulu and concert dvd's (no gaming). My budget is around $1200 (funny I spent $2200 on the plasma). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. THX!

  23. Hi,

I've asked a few stores and they recommended these 2 models for my budget.
    Sony 65" 4K Google TV KD-65X85K
    LG A2 55'' OLED 4K TV

They are exactly the same price.
Considering the TV quality, reliability, and customer service, which one would you choose?
Note: my house living room has direct sunlight from window and TV will be placed near the window. And I'm a no gamer.

    Appreciate your advice.
