  1. Hey Bret, did you realize Matt Walsh is only thousands of subs away from you? You guys should rap battle it out! Like the pewdiepie T-series

  2. I think kids should definitely not have social media but cell phones are useful for kids to contact there parents contact people in an emergency etc obviously there needs to be restrictions but that’s just my opinion

  3. This is what we need this is what to be honest what society needs to see instead of the BS they were trying to do I hope and I know it's not going to be the end of headset plenty of good examples of how body positivity should be and I hope they keep sticking to it instead of sending us to fat phobia type of thing to be honest we've all went through some shit and seeing this made me tear up a little bit

  4. Girls were overwhelmed with eating disorders in the 70's and 80's as well but social media didn't cause it. As divorce rates skyrocketed and the family unit broke down these disorders ramped up. Social media exacerbates it now.

  5. Yes to social media blackout….Except I don't trust Dove. I've been boycotting then since their "I'm a man, but I'm the mother" ad from Mother's Day a few years ago. I can't support any legislation they would endorse.

  6. My bf 9 year old daughter complains about us limiting her phone time and making her go on daily walks with us when she visits. Her mom just allows her to be lazy and on electronics all day. Bad parenting!

  7. Honestly, I also wish I stuck with my flipphone for a longer time, my mom was really hesitant about getting me a phone in the first place. But it was mostly so that I could get in touch with her while playing with friends.

Got a I phone when I was 13 and that’s when things started going wrong, now, ten years later, I deleted all my social media and I basically only have Messenger, Discord and Spotify to keep in touch with friends

  8. I'm a teen. I have a smartphone, but no internet access. I'm unable to download or delete anything without sending a request to my parents' phones. I have no social media. I'm totally out of the loop on everything. The only thing I use my phone for is photos, texting, crochet tutorials, and emergencies. Sometimes games, but those have time limits on them, so I can only access them on the weekends. My phone is out of my room at night and is completely off during the school day. And I am perfectly happy. My friends, however, are pretty much the opposite. One told me that she thinks she spends at least 7 hours on tiktok every day. They all have body image issues and severe mental health problems. I can't relate to the point where my only really close friend is a boy from another conservative family with the same rules. If you're wondering how I'm on youtube, my parents monitor everything I watch and comment too, and it is on the family computer, not my phone.

  9. After seeing all of these comments, I am glad that I grew up with cabled TVs, Video Games and YouTube videos that does not spread any propaganda. If I used instagram, I would be a changed person, and probably for the worse. Use Instagram at 16, or even 18.

  10. I think one big reason parents let their kids be inside on screens all day, is because the outside isn't safe anymore. I live in the Pacific North West, you go outside and you get jumped.

  11. I already told all my friends that if I EVER have kids they WILL NOT be getting a phone until they can afford it and if they do get a phone they won't have a smart phone

  12. on that we agree brett , you should simply start reproducing the nokia 3310 and the ericson brand and ban smart phones for children and teenagers replacing them with button phones like in the early 2000 until they re old enough for smart phones , in fact they might not even seek smart phones when they grow up
