  1. Idek if I’ll ever play this game just because of time restraints, but all the love this game is getting is so refreshing to see in an age where it seems like almost every game is ass. I hope this inspires devs to make more games that are closer to 1 for 1 remakes, as long as they are honest about it in the marketing like this one was.

  2. To anyone planning to play, I recommend leaving most of the controls on default. While some things may seem odd and somewhat clunky, many bindes (and lack thereof) in my opinion add to the experience. The interact button being mouse 2 is unique and to aim pressing the scroll adds to that "old game" vibe.

A big part of the original System Shock was its ui system. By everything being mouse controlled, it added to the immersion because it felt like the main character was manually sorting his inventory or turning on cybernetics. Same goes for the remake. By default, many cybernetics aren't binded to any keys and the flashlight is binded to the most awkward button possible so it encourages to manually turn it on from the inventory.

  3. But where is the console release date? They promised it was coming to console, I followed this game development since they announced it. Now they suddenly drop all mention of console release.

  4. The moment you said making inventory easier than the original and making switching guns and easier reloading, you just lost every hardcore gamer that played the original.

  5. Fans have been waiting for this for a long time. I just don't understand why there is no German language output. There was a German dubbing in the original. Is that planned?

  6. Well… You say this is one of the most important games in history…and you say the remake is the best way to experience it. If this remake is the absolute best way to experience one of the most important games of all time, I would imagine it with a rating well above 8… 🤔

  7. id like to know what "partial controller support" means on steam for this specific game…i know what it means on other games, but not this one…i wanna know that before i spend 40 bucks

  8. Isn't this the Mind Warehouse guy's voice? I have come here just after watching one of his videos. If it's you I have to admit your channel is awesome!

  9. "Immersive sim" is not a genre, but more a design philosophy. System Shock is not an immersive sim, it's a first-person RPG/Shooter hybrid. Thief is not an immersive sim, it's a first-person stealth game. RPG, Stealth game <—there's your genre.
