  1. I disagree with the decision not to make a bling camera test video this year. It's not only the winners, it's also the biggest losers and other interesting facts.

  2. I got a Pixel 8 in hazel during boxing day and it was on sale for a notable discount: there are so many good things I can say about the phone, but the call screening feature is literally life changing…at least for spam calls. Letting Google AI manage the call, and transcribe the call before you even pick up is a priceless feature. Having telemarketers deal with a series of questions they may not want to answer is a bit of karma, and a great tech solution to a problem many people deal with by Google. There are just so many good software features in a snappy UI without bloat.

Also, battery life and display is amazing. I have to turn down the max brightness to like 85% cause 100% is like looking at the sun. And even at high brightness, my screen on time is great even with wifi/bluetooth going and watching videos. Is the CPU the best on the market? Maybe not, that would be a Snapdragon chip probably. But i've had no lag with tons of apps open and using lots of features, and the battery life + display is fantastic. Highly recommend this phone. I've used an iPhone and Samsung before this, but overall the Pixel has been the most enjoyable of the three.

  3. I dont trust Google on their 7 year promise. They've killed services/devices/offers they've promised so many times before, nothing is holy to them.

  4. I'm not sure how you all place Sumsung the best large phone with all of the Samsung bloatware is present. A Samsung rep told me to my face Samsung bloatware CANNOT be deleted or paused. I have a Samsung zfold and the bloatware is a battery killer. None of you reviewers ever talk about the bloatware that I have seen????? Why is that?

  5. I'll give Samsung props for the UI and just overall presentation. I'll give Apple for the quality but software I would give the crown to Android for their customization options and also how experienced users can get themselves out of a fix with just a simple restart. Spent most of my college years with different phones so trust me I know the best thing is having a good screen, good camera, good screen protector and nice case. Comparing this Motorola to the HTC I used I would say the difference is clear. Laggy vs fast UI and a choice of launchers and that's the difference really in all phones.

  6. Marques loves to associate the term 'Boring' with Samsung, I guess because iPhone was actually accused of being boring compared to Android phones, so it hurt his feelings.

  7. ok now he is really starting to be a joke with these awards there is no way the pixel 8 pro is the best phone stop it I know you are a pixel and apple fanboy but its nowhere near the best phone of 2023 the best phone of 2023 was the s23 ultra

  8. In my MKBHD blind camera phone voting, in the main camera section, I had
    1. Oneplus 11
    2. Asus Rogphone 7
    3. Moto Razr

So no IPhone, Samsung or Google Flagship. Very funny and strange. Other phone cameras don't seem to be that bad at all😉

  9. 22:00 That is called poor design in some circles. If you cant easily repair it without destroying it… it speaks a lot to what the priorities were when it was made. To me that is a BAD PHONE. STRONGEST PHONE / GREATEST IPHONE, MY ASS… YOU WERE LITERALLY GETTING IT REPAIRED BECAUSE YOU BROKE IT.

  10. I feel like your voice is powerful MKBHD…. And I feel like a category called like "most repairable" would encourage the industry more in that direction. Even if its just a little nudge.
