  1. Why do you have to clickbait titles?? Your content is great, but you did not mention anything relating to Google Search… Really makes me question whether I'll click on your videos in future…

  2. The "AR" glasses were the only interesting part, and they weren't really acknowledged. For the whole 2nd part of IO, I thought they were going to do Apple-like "One more thing" and actually announce Glass 2 (or knowing Google: "Goole AI Glass with Gemini Assistant powered by Gemini Pro 1.5"). There were not enough leaks for me to believe they would come out now, but at least a full teaser like they did with the Pixel Tablet a couple of years ago, with more detail later.

  3. YouTube search is a joke now. recommended videos that have nothing to do with what I searched in the third result. Half the time its videos i have alredy watched as well.

  4. I couldn't wait for this to be over. It was a high school lunch conversation between annoying freshman. Marques, you are above this foolishness.

  5. Google is a public company. Google's cash cow is Search. Generative AI is the new kid on the block threatening to disrupt Search. Investors are worried for Google. Google has to go business with AI to assure Wall Street they're in control. Google uses I/O to signal to the market. Wall Street was happy after I/O. Mission accomplished for Google. Mission is probably going to stay the same until investors are no longer scared worried for Search

  6. Relating to the discussion around it feeling low-energy and not much cool/flashy stuff – that's what happens when a company lays off a sizeable percent of it's workforce, especially when it's mainly developers/engineers. A lot of projects have to get shelved just because there aren't people to work on them anymore.

  7. I'm calling it: AI will coin the phrase "elderly tech" or "elder tech". If you've ever seen an old person interact with AI, you know what I mean. The smartphone brought computing to average people. AI will bring it to the rest. It's fascinating. Anyways, it won't change much. It's been possible for anyone to do almost anything for quite some time now. Say you had this amazing marketing AGI that could tell you how to devise marketing strategies as good as or better than any marketing specialist out there, what would you do? What would anyone do who is not a marketing specialist? Nothing. Exactly. Why would you, it's not your job, is it? The only way in which it would change anything is, if Microsoft, Google etc. decided to kill themselves by making AGI that makes themselves and anybody else redundant AND the government asks for it. More than 53% of Microsofts revenue comes from directly or indirectly selling software to developers. If they released an AI completely cutting out software development alone, it would cut Microsofts market! in half. But who knows… you will own nothing and be happy?

  8. So the pixel is now an iphone 🤣🤣🤣👀👀😬😬 they figured out that people love the iphone designs and they decided they recycle what apple left behind 🤣🤣😬😬👀👀

  9. Everyone is broke. Everyone is going homeless and jobless, and they expect us to cheer for skynet? Come on! This is all evil corporate garbage. Nobody in the right mind would ever want to work for google, unless they hate humanity itself.
