  1. Apple products are useless…

Microsoft Windows 10 and 11 are both just advanced spying systems…

The only hope in the future is to use Linux as much as possible and as soon as possible 😊.

  2. never had a smart phone, and last phone i used was a flip phone back in 2010.. i am now phone-less… also am rarely on computer and NONE of my personal info is on it… and yes i remember the Commodore 64…. also i refuse to use ANY ai based program or device… if i can't do it, then i don't need it done…. also have not been on social media since 2009, and youtube is only for occasional video…. never take selfies, never post social updates… i am soo far from being a cyborg that soon i will break the law for NOT using such devices and software…. probably the same time i will break the law for NOT dating WOKE women desperate for free meals off of my dime….

  3. Be careful for what you wish for, and grateful for what you have
because those things could also become obsolete in the future.
When our lives become too convenient people lose their incentive
to improve, and then what happens may not be pretty.
Stay safe, stay free, love your friends and family.
Always work hard and do your best every day, and you will find
    the secret to life.

  4. 12-13-23 The premise is smart hand held phones will become obsolete and that's not answered here. I submit that what comes next is in fact already here and like the spoon or cup can't be improved in its functionality. It's the individual ear bud (maybe implanted when you're born) using Elon's earth low orbit communication satellites. The ultimate has aways the Dick Tracy watch and that's here as an Apple Watch with GPS, AI predictive text and a cell phone built in. @trishregan

  5. Question: Could the expansion of AI into the Arts, whether music or movies, lead to a resurgence or increased appreciation of live performances. I may be old, 67, but I think even amatuer live performances in theatre and stage far outshine much of what is on offer today.

  6. It’s a nicely designed object TOTALLY unsuited for the human body. I dropped two in three years and managed without it for a year , just using the iwatch. This is the way forward; develop voice command and wireless hearing device

  7. This guy seems so smart and so sure about so many things, and yet he is so wrong about so many of them.

The Selfie was not invented a few years ago. People started taking pictures of themselves as soon as cameras were invented that had timers. If you include the idea of hiring a photographer to take the picture for you, the selfie has been around since the beginning of photography. If you include the idea of other forms of visual depiction, such as painting and sculpture, selfies have been around for thousands of years, tens of thousands if you include hand-outlines on cave walls that state the equivalent of "This is me, I was here once upon a time".

The fax machine didn't come and go in our lifetimes. Not only is still in use in some places for some purposes, but it was invented in the mid 1800s using telegraph lines before most of our great-great-grandparents were alive. Telegraph is basically an early form of email or texting.

Yes, people go to the theater to socialize. Sure, they don't want to hear other people talking and interrupting, but they want to hear them laugh and chuckle and cry. It reinforces social expectations for expression and roles in situations. It creates and/or promulgates culture and cultural expectations or subversions of it. Sometimes a friend lives far enough away that it's more convenient to meet in the middle and spend time watching entertainment at a theater, as well as eating out and shopping and playing at the arcade. Not eveyone wants to do everything at home with the people they're stuck at home with.

And I'm not sure how people didn't see the smartphone coming. The job I had in the early-mid 2000s required me to have a cell phone, wireless Palm Pilot, camera, laptop and I knew and hoped and predicted that someday these would all be one single device, a small tablet, because electronic tablets had already been tried by Microsoft in 2002 and by Apple in the mid-90s (Newton).

BTW, did he actually get around to saying what would replace smartphones?

  8. Privacy is important to me, my phone is de=Googled, and I don't allow tracking via Wi-Fi. So my phone is essentially like a land line, my only vice is watching videos on my non smart TV/Monitor. We all need to disconnect, and be self-reliant..

  9. With the next generation device – In essense the human skills percentage trends to zero.
One advantage of a large desktop computer is it's lack of mobility – and the human skills developed in content creation.

  10. NUERAL LINK we will be able to communicate basically by thought to anyone else with the implant, record our dreams, create our own artificial reality. Thought Police hear they come😮đŸ˜ĸ😅😂

  11. Today you can't apply for a job, make a Social Security application Appointment, schedule a vaccination or get a newsletter without email and a cellphone. It's the Swiss Army knife of the 21st century. It's just progress. Do you want a horse and buggy or a car? I am not giving up the technology that helps me as a disabled person.

  12. I was born in 58' and have seen it all up to now. It still amazes me how tech can come up with all these innovations. Keep it coming you lovely nerds!

  13. when I take public transportation all I see is cyborgs staring at their tiny little screens
these phones stifle human interaction and I do honestly believe that is just ONE of the reasons we have been made to believe that you must have a cell phone
    I don't and its great

  14. watched this great video while in a vr world (quest 3) looking out over a beach and ocean while in bed. so important to think on these topics overwise you blindly become a cog in the machine
