Lmao @ the RAAATS.
I mean yeah, terrible journalism but also we already have plenty of evidence that staring at a screen for hours each day is terrible for growing minds in many ways, and adult ones too. But the media doesn't talk about that, or about how all their clickbait is destroying our mental health and fermenting division. That 1972 MIT study was spot on and tbh I think it's well past time we let this fall apart and build a society based on what we need as a species and not what makes a few of us rich and powerful.
The media is abysmal at their jobs
Anytime I see a news article with the words "Study Shows", I'm already unconvinced and look for the original study myself. 😅
Bravo for not linking the article. Can't let bad journalism (not all journalism is bad) get rewarded with extra outrage clicks.
Imagine being a parent and getting your playbook on how to raise your child from a CNN headline
"Scientists say"… could mean two scientists say, or maybe two uncredited scientists say, or maybe two uncredited scientists under the influence of alcohol say… It's clickbait.
Who else saw the thumbnail and thought “high quality horizontally spinning rat”?
In all seriousness, nice work covering this, healthcare triage team!
😂🤣👍
