  1. That’s the problem, AI is making humankind lazy. Why get my ass off the couch, stack a bunch of TVs, when i can simply type it into this prompt and poof. Why go film this historic area, when i can create this fake, similar one ?

Stay in the real world, go do stuff, challenge yourself, because that’s what gives you purpose and your time – value. Don’t rely on a bunch of 0s and 1s, which can go away at any point.

  2. So many people and their jobs have just instantly became obselete. Humans can't rely on the centuries old trick of "we just go to school longer and learn more complex job skills" any more.

  3. This is going to be bad for everything. People already believe fake stuff that doesn't even look that real, but this, is too close to real. We are screwed. I firmly believe little good will come from this. It will mostly be used nefariously and maliciously.

  4. So here is a question – can Marques Brownlee use AI to generate his own Youtube videos? Perhaps write a list of topics and submit that to Sora to generate a new video. Worth a go to see what it can do.

  5. How the hell would jurisdiction would be able to cope with it? Every evidence would be inadmissible now.
Maybe they'll make a tool to evaluate whether the media was generated artifically or not. But my hopes on that are thin.

  6. All this AI shit is so disheartening as a baby graphic designer. I worked my ass off for years to get my degree between bouts of depression. But with how fast it's progressing, I feel like it was just a waste of time. How am I going to be able to compete with an algorithm in five or so years once the mistakes aren't noticeable or even there anymore? It will be cheaper and quicker for them to do it themselves.

I thought AI was supposed to help us with menial tasks we hate, not creativity.

  7. Yep it's time to require all A.I. generated content created on these remote servers to be kept track of somewhere and easily identifiable by websites such as social media sites. Even locally generated A.I. images and videos should probably require an internet connection so that the meta data of the content can be stored somewhere

  8. I just sent the videos to everyone. After everyone reacts to them, I will disclose that it was generated by AI and remind everyone that there is nothing left to trust. No messages, photos, audio or videos! It is difficult for most people to understand this idea. Especially the elderly.

  9. Sora, convert this book into a video. YouTube is going to be filled with ai videos just like mmorpg games back in the days where we could interact with real people behind the avatars but now there are only bots farming for items.

  10. I am glad to see such advancements that disrupt millions if not Billions of jobs in coming decades. It makes long overdue revolution much easier. 😊🥰

  11. This is completely terrifying. Like seriously…we humans are so f*cked in so many ways, and this is a big one. Don't believe everything you see beginning in the very near future. People are going to make ones to get people all in an uproar that are complete lies that never happened. Good thing I am not opposed to checking out early if sh*t gets really f*cked up.

  12. yea that's it. We definitely live in a simulation. Already think this anyway so it's fun and creepy to see how far tech goes that makes believe more than i already do lol. People in the simulation gonna come to the realisation that they're in a simulation. Goes back to that thought we're advanced Sims game sitting on some being's computer.

  13. Soon, we might not even care if hands or fingers are rendered properly in images or videos! It could become a new art style, and then, nobody would pay for traditional video stock.
