  1. Late to the comments, but I'm so glad you guys brought up the old LED notification light. That was one of my favorite features, and it was ripped away from us for always on displays. No thanks, give me the light.

  2. there was the nokia 3220 that was the GOAT of RGB LED notifications. it had 4 bumpers, 2 on each side, completely RGB, they animated with the music and you could customize them depending on the notification (granted they were simpler back then).

  3. Thanks for the shoutout guys, I'm the designer of the "Quest Vision Pro" adapters that allow you to use Vision Pro headbands on Quest 3. Can't post links but they are on printables and thingiverse under my username – eighties8

  4. I have nothing against Mark, for one, nor Meta and Meta's platforms. The concern of mine other than the price differential is the safety behind the software and hardware. There was a "thing" in the past with gaming councils being "hacked" and gamers being "swatted" by "players" within a network of online gaming. There is a reason why Apple MacBooks are shown to be within frame versus any other brand. There is a reason the Apple Vision Pro's have a more realistic look and feel with its fast responsive chips and patented hardware. Whether the rest of the gaming developers have transitioned to the new, is a slower transition, in my opinion but for the better. If this is the Apple Vision Pro's first edition model of "XR" reality, surpassing "AR" and "VR," we can only imagine once it reaches the bandwidth of Quest and other editions and its price points. All any consumer would want, in my opinion again, is to be at ease and liberty to use the Vision Pro's and watch a movie or play a game or see virtual dinosaurs if they choose to without being "swatted" and "I.D.'d" by hackers trying to steal their personal property or data. Either hardware is hackable, yes. It is the preventative coding and software measures that works in unison with carriers, network providers, routers, and VPN shuffling for the same protection measures of personal properties. It is the versatility and multi-use of what anyone can do with Apple Vision Pro's for either work and/or personal work/life use.

  5. Love the emphasis on chipset – but hate the fact that Samsung has reverted to using exynos in their S24 lineup and noone has made a deal out of it.

Exynos was fine before, but SD8G3 is just so ahead than before it's kinda unfair to folks buying the model with exynos in it.

Maybe some look into that would be nice in the next ep?

  6. You guys should bring on Connor Price to talk about the TikTok/musician connection, the guy is insanely talented and used tiktok incredibly well to build his career up to having 8 mil monthly on Spotify.

  7. Before we start hypothetically bagging on Nothing's budget phone shipping with a 60htz display, can we talk about Apple charging $799 still for a phone with one? 😂

  8. Scatman John was more interesting in regards to One Hit Wonders because he was a Two Hit Wonder, with a revival in popularity through YouTube before TikTok was at the level it is today.

  9. 15:13
I highly Recommend watching a video report made by “Vox” channel, that records the relation between tiktok and musicians

Named: “we tracked what happens after TikTok songs go viral”

  10. The choice between the two headsets 🎧 depends on the intended use. If you're looking for a consumer-oriented VR experience 🕶 with the flexibility of wireless usage 📡, the Quest headset might be more your vibe. However, if you require a high-performance VR headset 🚀 for professional or research purposes 🎓, the Vision Pro could be the better option.

Ultimately, the decision should be based on your specific needs 🎯 and the intended use of the VR headset.

  11. This episode was hard to watch, Marques clearly is in favour Apple and wants to dismiss everything Zuck says, most of which are reasonable like 1:12:40. Yes Marques, it's called market research. You develop a product based on how you think customers are going to use the product. Oculus has been selling headsets for 10 years. They have gone through many product cycles and learnt how customers use the product. It is NOT unreasonable to expect a product costing 7X times to offer at least the same capabilities.

And it is different from the iPhone. Back then, smartphones (Blackberry and Nokias) were made for the business and professional customer in mind. Steve's vision was to open the smartphone market to a new (casual) customer base by having a much bigger screen to watch videos on, and the keyboard NOT being as essential as to the business customers. In this case, Apple is doing no such thing. The device to too expensive for the average joe or those who want to play games (gaming console are also around $500 for the same reason) , for a professional having multiple screens is a thing on Quest and not on Apple lol (even tho they make the Mac and the usually ecosystem is their bigger strength ), and Industry has been using Microsoft Hololens for almost a decade now lol.

  12. Sorry Ellis, Microsoft definitely won the PC wars. People tend to forget that Apple was close to bankruptcy before Steve Jobs returned and saved Apple with the iMac (which was only possible because of the investment from Microsoft). And even today, desktop OS market share is 20% Mac and 70% Windows.
Android also has 70% smartphone OS market share vs iOS ~30% but since Apple prints so much money from iPhone sales maybe Zuck thinks of it as winning.

  13. I can't believe you guys are trying to justify a 7X more expensive product is "better" even tho you can't do anything in it. It is crazy to think that you can only have 1 macbook pro screen mirrored on the AVP which is just like having 1 monitor (no real productivity benefit), while you can have a 3 monitor setup on Quest 3 and actually have a workflow that is better than just using laptop (as Elis said).
It's like 8K TVs right now, yes you can pay 7X more than 4K and get it but there is no content for you to watch, (at least in that case you can watch upscaled 4K content), better to get a 4K TV.

I'll let Steve Jobs explain why Quest 3 is better than Vision Pro which seems more like a tech showcase. – https://youtube.com/watch?v=rMYSpTFJYKE
