  1. lets be honest real reason that no one bought smaller phones was that they were still significantly expensive for what they offered, if they were a little more tightly priced maybe they would have lasted.

  2. It's sad to see them go, especially they're like budget version of the phone with same chip, but less battery capacity and smaller screen.
It makes sense that the normal size phone is sufficient enough, being the smallest of the line-ups though.

  3. Was planning to get one of the Asus Zenfones to replace an iPhone 6S when I find a new job (yes, I'm running a nearly 10 year old phone), but it looks like I won't be doing so.
Or I guess I'll just buy an old model. Shame on Asus and the smartphone industry as a whole for abandoning phones you can use with one hand.

  4. Never liked texting with one thumb or two. Probably why I use a 10" tablet as a phone. Waiting for a foldable tablet with 5G or better connectivity.

It's rare for me to have an instant "WTF?!" reaction to something. That new Zenfone reveal is just an instant "WTF?!" moment to me. It looks so ugly and it makes me want to vomit. They killed something that made them niche and marketable to certain people. Now they have to compete with other brands that offer better phones than them because they no longer have a niche as a selling point. That phone also looks as generic as hell as other Android phones, with no more unique camera design.

This is only true when Asus offers larger versions of their phone. So then people might prefer to buy a larger version of the phone rather than the smaller one. But, Asus only made one size of Zenfone, so we don't know for sure that it didn't sell well because of its small size or it just didn't sell well because they kept losing market share.

The reason why the iPhone mini didn't sell well is because people preferred to buy normal or larger iPhones. After all, people think that bigger equals better.

I think it's a sign that they're having a hard time selling the phone, and they keep losing to other brands. They simplified their supply chain by making the Zenfone a normal version of the ROG Phone. Essentially, it's the same phone but with a different cover. ROG Phone sells better than Zenfone, so it's only a matter of time until they merge both phones into one (even though right now it kinda already is) or just simply abandon Zenfone altogether.

  6. My phone is now 5 years old and I've been looking for a replacement under 5', with 2 days battery and a memory card for almost two years now. a valid reason to keep a phone longer but very sad.

  7. I’m angry at people for not buying more small phones đŸ˜ĸ In another universe out there I have a small pro phone due to how popular small phones are. If onlyâ€Ļâ€Ļ
