  1. Adam, there's an app called Fable where you can sign up for a bookclub and you can have chapter by chapter discussions. It's really useful, no clue how available it is cross platform but it's really nice

  2. I'm sorry, but Marquez is wrong on so many different levels. We don't need The AI to verify facts. What we need is for the AI to make sure that it gets it right by building as much knowledge to it as we possibly can throughout the years. which we will.

  3. Google IO changed because Pichai has no idea what he is doing so might as well jump hard on the AI bandwagon. Google's stuff fails because they don't know how anything works with other Google things (ecosystem). They are just random thoughts that flirt away with time.

  4. I agree with what Adam was saying. As an avid reader I already use GPT to make custom GPT's to feed it PDF's or EPUBs of the books I'm reading to gain a deeper understanding of the material. GPT-4o will only enhance this ability to have a always-present super knowledgeable 'persona' that can chat with you about literature and other topics.

  5. My work uses GChat for communication and it is SO BAD. You cannot even find images you've sent in the chat – only files! If the Gemini thing works on files it'd be such a lifesaver.

I think they didn't give creative example or use cases only showing simple dumb example because they don't want to threaten the creative people , they want to reflect like a good assistant not some evil thing that is going to be more intelligent than humans and take their jobs, so people get afraid. They want people to adopt this, so in near future there will not be wow example of Ai usage

  7. Tokens do not equate to words necessarily, but rather are smaller chucks of words. There’s a great 3blue1brown video on that!

Anyways loved the podcast as ever thanks 🫶🏼

  8. Not wanting to be mean and all that but did you guys ACTUALLY do research for every subject you talked about, I dont often listen to the podcast but some of the stuff that I listened too were just downright wrong. Be it facts or opinions, I noticed that with the chatbot stuff.

  9. Looking forward to providing professional advice and then have someone summarising it and saying you said this, and me not being able to work out what the heck is going on as i dont think i said that. Then a couple of days later after confusion going ohhh AI said i that i said that ohhh.

  10. Their theory about how gpt4o is using filler to speed up times is an insanely bad theory that demonstrates clearly no understanding of the models.

  11. Also, young kids don't say "Google it", they say "Search it up" – which is awesome, nothing you can do about it, the more you fight it, you look old and they purposefully won't ever refer to it as Google it – ever. love to see it

  12. The sooner we purge Google (probably why it took them so long to find Orion) and use ChatGPT or other options, we disincentivize the enshirtification of the internet Google has brought about, but that would also hurt MKBHD, so probably will never be recommended here – money talks, we pay.

  13. When the guy start clapping and everyone was akwardly realizing they were praising 2mm, I saw how this podcast is just some dudes talking and ultimately bs. Thank you stranger!

  14. Terrible bezels , bad speakers, only 27inches. Low brightness, expensive for what you get. What’s good about this monitor? I have fond memories of Viewsonic but this is a complete miss.

  15. Meanwhile… Will I Am has headed an AI that talks to you like a hood girl from NY and a UK Brixton neighborhood guy. And it sounds better than all this. @MKBHD He was on Drink Champs talkin about it. And also… Terrance Howard was on JRE podcast proving he invented AR technology and abandoned the patent cause he felt like they were shaking him down with all the maintenance fees… Also he has 95 other patents including a gun that turns water into plasma… and he said he killed Gravity. Catch up fellas. There is more interesting things happening

  16. "Screen is just brighter"

Ignore the incredible contrast ratio, true blacks and no blooming. And that's ignoring the huge jump in display quality that the 11-Inch got.

  17. The pencil moving is absolutely not a ploy to sell you a new one.
Speakers on smaller sides and smart cover + folio on the other long side.
Apple Pencil is packed full of more electronics and the magnets have to go where they do.

  18. An AI that can fact check, understand itself, can tell whats wrong and right is a "thing" that has gained sentience. They don't give the developers enough credit with how chatgpt has evolved throughout the years.
